[Granite Cabin]

[It’s been a few days since moving out of Perch and into Granite with Spike, not that Ianto has much to do in the way of unpacking. Nevertheless he’s all settled in by now and has made himself at home in the new cabin. If anyone should stop by to visit this morning they’ll likely find him enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch and fighting back some early morning yawns.]

[Community Center]

[Later in the day he can be found at the Community Center, browsing through the library or enjoying the view from the lounge. He might even take a stroll around the garden, but the overcast weather makes him reluctant to travel much further on the island today in case the weather takes a turn for the worse. No matter where he is he won’t say no to a bit of company.]

“Don’t you dare.” Let’s put a stop to his now just in case. Occasionally letting Spike paint his nails is about as fair as he’s willing to go in terms of looking like him.

“I wonder what could possibly have been keeping you away from all the social events?” Certainly not sex in a cabin with Ianto that would never happen.

The offer gets a slights laugh. “Does she know you don’t eat?” He’ll probably take her up on it if he’s honest. He was never much of a cook and being with a vampire has done absolutely nothing to improve his motivation.

Hey, he's pretty good at manicures and ever since leaving Marina, there hasn't been a lot of opportunities for it. Besides, Ianto could benefit from punking it up from time to time. Stick it to the man. Break some gender barriers. Rebel against societal norms.

"Oh, I think you know." He rolls his eyes, ever so gently. "And she knows. As it happens, she doesn't eat either so it'd be entirely for your benefit."

Oh yes when you think rebel you think Ianto. He’s quite happy with having Spike be the bad boy in the relationship, thank you.

“Another vampire?” He asks curiously, politely ignoring the eye roll. That might be nice - Spike seems to do well when he has nonhuman playmates around.

((In their day 13 thread Jack just gave Ianto permission to share with Spike about what happened to him but since Anna and I have been slow with that and only just threaded it now want to hand wave it? Or play it out in a thread “today” and assume Ianto waited to share? I’m good with either option.))

"No." he responds, vaguely. "Something else. I'll let her tell you, if she's up for it."

“I look forward to it.” He finishes his coffee and sets the mug aside contentedly. “Come on, shall we do a bit of exploring then?”

"Alright." He agrees, stretching his arms above his head to shake the last bit of stiffness from the night. If he's learned one thing from their last expedition, it's to never say no when Ianto asks if they should go exploring.
