NEWCOMER MINGLE
You better bundle up if you intend to wait for someone on the jetty, it's getting cold out here. Autumn has set in, the winds from the north are picking up and with them they bring a promise of snow in a not too distant future. Olivia is there as always, bundled up in whatever knitted she could get her hands on, ready to greet the new guests.
The ferry lands soft as always, letting off the small group of newcomers. Welcome to Norrhamn.
As is tradition, a welcome party is planned for later that night. It's a simple affair this time around, just coffee or tea and a slice of home made cardamom sponge cake. Those who have been on the island for awhile may notice that it's a more somber party than usual. Autumn always brings out the Swedish melancholy - we know it's going to be dark and wet for a really long time. We need to prepare.
KURA SKYMNING
It's getting dark earlier and earlier. Too cold for garden parties and barbecues, too cold for midnight skinny dipping and wandering through the forest on early summer nights, when the sun barely sets. No, we're in the dark months now and that means one thing and one thing only this far up North — you huddle up indoors and do the best you can with the situation at hand.
The Community Centre is cosied up with plenty of blankets and the House Gnome — placated from last months shenanigans — has been kind enough to set up a whole array of hot drinks. The main event however is Valborg, the bird like little old lady who lives alone in the woods. She's set herself up at one of the larger tables, nursing a cup of coffee and expectantly looking at anyone who comes close enough to catch her eye. Come sit with her. Talk for a bit.

You’re the storyteller? [he asks, friendly enough but clearly someone who doesn’t go out of his way to start conversations on his own very much.]

Whenever he's out for a stroll in the neighborhood, he does his best smiling and greeting the locals he sees in the community, saying "Hello". Mu is rather distinctive for his long pink hair.
Later one evening, in the community center, Mu is huddled up in the community center, listening to people sharing stories. When it's Mu turn to share his story, he's all smiles as he eats cake and drinking cups of hot coffee.]
Hello, my name is Mu. I came from Tibet and I have travelled across Nepal, China, and India until I'm settled in Greece. Where I'm from, the mountains touch the sky. In fact, when I was a child, I remembered watching many travelers hiking on the road toward the mountains to climb Mount Everest to set the world record.

When he's done, it takes her some few seconds to collect her words and speak quietly. ]
I was never on my m-mountain before. That sounds like a wonderful place to live in.

[Mu is one of the new arrivals here. It took him a week to settled in, getting used to the island's peaceful wilderness. The hardest challenge of living here is getting used to the cold climate that is the hallmark of this island and it's season. Being up to date to the island's calendar and almanac, it's autumn season, and it tends to get rainy, so Mu is often out with an umbrella while studying nature and keeping a journal of his findings on his nature hikes.
Whenever he's out for a stroll in the neighborhood to go shopping to stock up for the winter or out for a stroll through nature, he does his best smiling and greeting the locals he sees in the community, saying "Hello". As Mu is rather distinctive and recognizable for his long pink hair.]
II. Community center
[Mu can be seen at the community center occasionally on some evenings. Being distinctive for his unusual lilac hair color, he's recognizable. Mu is huddled up in the community center, listening to people sharing stories. When it's Mu turn to share his stories, mostly about his travels in the Far East in Asia, he's all smiles as he eats cakes and sweets and variety of fruits while drinking cups of hot coffee and tea as he speaks slowly.]
In my hometown, where I used to live, mountains surrounded my village. It's the tallest mountain in the world with snow caps covering the top peaks that touches the sky. When I was a child, I used to see travelers on the road heading toward Mount Everest…that's the tallest mountain in the world, to set a world record.
III.Forest
[Even though it's cold out, on a warm sunny afternoon and not a rainy day, Mu can be seen hiking through the forest, having picnics to eat and afternoon coffee and tea. In the meanwhile writing in his journals working on his book. At times, he's playing music, a wooden flute where he sits, and the music of his flute and the songbirds can be heard to those anyone passing by.]
