[Ianto will be the first to admit that the outdoors aren’t exactly his thing. He’s spent most of his time here in the more inhabited areas, occasionally venturing to the beach but rarely further. So he’s frankly feeling rather proud of himself today for his decision to actually do some hiking, and equally glad that he’s convinced Spike to come along. And if it leads to a chance to investigate the lake after his strange encounter there the other day, well, that’s just an added bonus.

He glances around their cabin one last time before shouldering the backpack that contains as much of a picnic as can be had when half the people involved only drink blood. At least that means it isn’t heavy.]

Of course it’s something he thinks about, the fact that some sort of change is inevitable no matter how hard he might try to remain himself. If he’s honest it scares him. Terrifies him, even. They’ve probably talked about it, but in a vague, uncertain sense. Up until now it’s always been something in the future it’s become real lately. He wants it, but what scares him most isn’t the danger involved. It’s the possibility of losing what they have, or of things changing until they drift apart. A tiny, uncertain part of himself that he hates and tries his best to ignore wonders if the way Spike feels about him will change once that soft, warm, vulnerable human element is removed.

Until then though he’s going to enjoy every moment they have together, fully giving in to the fantasy and letting Spike take complete control. He hooks a leg around his thigh as he’s backed up against the tree, hands reaching down between them to undo zippers and buttons and start getting both their jeans open so he can move this along. He tilts his head to the side as he continues kissing him, exposing his neck and practically begging the vampire to take advantage of it.

While that might happen, it's unlikely. Spike fell in love with him despite him being human - it wasn't until later that he started to adore the soft, warm qualities of the living but none of that is what makes Ianto who he is. It may inform his actions, shape his morals, but it's not as big a part of him as people may think. Hell, Spike was often accused of being lousy with humanity and he wasn't nearly as empathetic when he was alive as Ianto is now.

Ianto's always been good at getting the show on the road and so Spike is more than happy to leave him to it, instead focusing on something he will miss once the turning is done. It's a dangerous temptation and maybe that's what he likes about it — every time he can lean in close to Ianto's neck and press his blunt teeth against his pulse is a victory, proof that he's in control of himself.

He bites down with a low guttural growl, hard but not quite hard enough to break the skin. It's a practiced movement, one they've perfected over the past five and then some years.

They both fell in love despite what the other is. The vampire aspect of Spike was the first thing he ever saw in him, and the rest came much later. He’s always loved the whole of him, though. He always will.

Those teeth on his throat will never fail to be a turn on. Even when he becomes a vampire himself it’s a move that’s going to do it for him. His cock jumps as Spike clamps down on his neck with enough force to bruise and he moans greedily, hand wrapping around them both where he has their jeans undone and beginning to stroke eagerly.
