Summer 20 | Action | Closed to Ianto

Having broken his self-imposed isolation yesterday by welcoming the newcomers and attending - and enjoying, mostly - the crayfish party, Jack decides it's time to spend some time with Ianto that (hopefully) won't end up quite as intense and harrowing as the last time. Not that there weren't some really fantastic parts to that day, but Ianto really does deserve to be taken out and given a nice time in return for being so sweet and wonderful.

He'd been thinking of the beach, but it's not really the weather for sunbathing so he has something else in mind when he turns up at Granite Cabin late morning with a picnic basket over his arm and knocks smartly on the door.

This is normally the time when Jack is at his most open too, in the closeness of the aftermath of intense shared experiences, but it's a little different when said experience involved such a high level of power exchange, because he was the one in charge - the one still in charge and currently trying to balance looking after Ianto with looking after their relationship.

It helps that at least Ianto's not being accusatory about it, and that his love and trust are still coming through strong. Even though it's that love and trust that have got them to this stage right now.

"I don't mean to be overwhelming," he says weakly, remembering Spike saying the same thing a lot in the early days of their relationship. "I just - I like chasing extremes, you know? And you... look, I'm not blaming you, okay? But when you push for more I find it really hard to deny you. I want to give you everything, Ianto. I want to share so much with you."

“I just forgot how to handle you while you were gone,” Ianto decides, finishing his chocolate and taking a final drink of water. It’s not accusatory, just thoughtful and he snuggles closer, eyelids drooping. They can figure out the details later, when he’s thinking more clearly and and really decide just how much he needs to slow things down. For now he could use some aftercare more than anything else, and he does his best to shift closer against Jack, making a little sound of discomfort as he does. It’s worth it to be near him. It always is.

"Yeah," he agrees, on a long exhale, relieved that Ianto is apparently willing to let it go for the moment after all and focus on stabilising himself mentally and physically after their scene - but still knowing that they really do need to try and work this out. If the two of them egging each other on and getting carried away is going to become a real problem or not.

Right now, though, he's extremely grateful that Ianto is showing the more normal signs of wanting physical comfort, and it's a relief to take the water bottle from him (taking a swig himself because he's had quite a lot of exertion too) and set it down on the bedside table, and then turn in towards Ianto and pull him into his arms, careful and protective. "We'll work it out, all right?" he promises, whispering into Ianto's hair. "Right now, I just want to hold you for a bit, make sure you're okay." He strokes up and down Ianto's arm, soothingly. "We'll make it work."

He's not sure which of them he's trying to convince more.

“Aright,” Ianto agrees, perfectly content to let Jack gather him up in his arms for now. He may want to make sure they have things properly figured it and balanced between the two of them but that doesn’t mean he’s overly worried. They’ve been through much worse after all. Wanting to make sure their relationship is healthy is a good thing as far as he’s concerned, not a cause of drama.

It feels good to be held and he smiles against Jack’s shoulder. “So, how are you going to make all this inconvenience up to me tomorrow?”

Okay, that's better. That's good. He tightens his arm a little bit around Ianto's shoulders and grins down at him.

"Tomorrow, I am going to deliver you back to Spike to look after. Wouldn't want him to think I'm monopolising you - plus I do think he should get to enjoy how your ass looks while it's still fresh!

"But there's still a lot of today left. It's only--" he glances at his watch "--five o'clock. What do you say we cuddle and nap for a bit until we feel a bit more stable, and then - well. There's still a lot of food left in the basket for when we get hungry, and a whole evening and night left for more fun too!"


((OOC: Unfortunately, tomorrow, Jack will be at home alone when Martha comes to invite him on a trek up the mountain, so Ianto will need to have gone by then!))

“He’d like that,” Ianto agrees sleepily. Well. To an extent. He has a suspicion Spike is going to have something to say about the state he’s been left in but then again he knows what sorts of things the two of them get up to and he does know how to have fun with it.

That plan of Jack’s sounds good, particularly the nap and cuddle bit. He does seem to recall suggesting some more mind blowing sex for later, too. He nuzzles closer, letting his eyes drift shut. “That sounds nice. Wake me up when we get to the more fun bit, alright?”

Yeah, he's not sure what Spike's going to say about this either; he's mostly just hoping that the fact that Spike tends to carried away with things too will help mitigate his reaction!

He smiles, and pulls up the covers a bit more to make sure Ianto won't get cold. "You can count on it! Want any painkillers first, or are you all right?"

He suspects the latter, given how sleepy Ianto sounds, but best to check before he lets himself get really comfy too.

“I’ll want them when I wake up.” He wants to try to at least enjoy a bit of this for now. Next time they’ll do it properly, make it safe to enjoy the ride or even reverse the roles - he’s come to enjoy taking control of Jack on occasion over the years. Once again he can’t help but feel a rush of happiness that Jack’s back in his life. He’s missed this.

Yes, fun as spontaneous spankings might be, they're far more fun when properly planned, including being somewhere they're able to relax afterwards. And of course he would never object to the roles being reversed - far from it - but Ianto might find he'll want to tread a little carefully there. He... might have gone and got himself rather thoroughly whipped after losing Saavi and Taiana. He might need a little easing back into subbing again, safely, with someone who loves him.

"Okay," he smiles, glad that at least Ianto feels able to enjoy the throb of his ass for the moment. He ruffles a hand through Ianto's hair and then drops it round his shoulders again, sighing contentedly. "Sleep well, sweetheart."

Even after Ianto's dropped off, though, he doesn't sleep himself. His brain's too busy, still in caretaker mode, absorbing Ianto's comments about them both getting too carried away and trying to come up with ways of dealing with that.

Perhaps planning things in advance really is the answer. At least if they have a scene planned, there won't be so much scope for error!
